In his fun series "Daily reminder", Singapore-based motion and CG designer Fyn Ng exaggerates the feeling of skeuomorphism by applying 3D and AR techniques to create atmospheric user interface elements, combined with some dimensional branding, spatial apps, materialized interactions and environmental icons.
In a world where flat color and long shadows are the go-to design trends these days, motion designer Fyn Ng is playing with 2D UI, and creating three dimensional user interface versions of everyday technology, literally.
The renders are quite clever and fun. He mixes textures, nature and everyday objects to create 3D representation of every day design elements with narratives using brands like Google, Apple and Facebook.
