Also known as Nikolas Tower, the artist combines different painting styles like watercolor and gouache to create fantasy worlds, in the center of attention being females characters with sublime features surrounded by abstract backgrounds of flowing colors, finished with layers of thin sheets of gold leaf, to enhance the sense of magic.

In his own swirling visual universe, the design language Kafasis uses is described as "a cosmos in silence." Nikolaos draws inspiration for his portraits from nature, mythology or fantasy novels, with influences from the ancient greek or the asian culture. He places his female figures in mysterious scenery to evoke "silent human feelings that cannot easily be expressed in words."
